This three-day
watercolor workshop is open to all levels
from beginner to advanced. Two demos a day
will show how to paint with layering and
glazing transparent pigment on dry 300 lb
Arches watercolor paper. On the last day, we
will spend time working in opaque
watercolor. Students will paint in the
classroom for several hours each day while
Adele works individually with each person.
Adele will also demonstrate how to stretch
watercolor paper and use reference material.
Emphasis will be placed on composition. Some
class time will be spent discussing the
practical side of 'becoming an artist',
including the all important ATTITUDE,
framing, pricing, marketing, etc.
Adele Earnshaw is a master watercolor
painter. In the last few years she has taken
up oils and has also become an award winning
plein air oil painter. In September of 2010
she will lead a group of painters in Tuscany
teaching plein air painting in both oil and
watercolor with Joe Garcia. (see Sedona Arts
Center’s
Field Expeditions)
