| Jan
Sitts is an internationally known painter,
instructor and author whose unique work has
been embraced by art lovers for the last
thirty years. She was formally trained at
the Kansas City art Institute and received
her B.A. in Fine Art from Western State
College in Gunnison, Colorado. Jan has
worked in the commercial arts, movie
animation, as a gallery director and in
various other positions in the arts. She is
currently represented in five contemporary
art galleries and has recently published her
first book,
TEXTURECOLORFEELING.
Your sensibilities will
take you on a whirlwind adventure as you
discover materials, textures and surfaces
that you have never thought possible. The
process of layering with non-traditional art
material, various papers, acrylic paints and
ink will move you into unfamiliar territory
that improves your expressiveness and the
uniqueness of your painting. |
