Diane Gale
Diane Gale grew up in Sacramento, CA and her passion for ceramics began at an early age. Her mother was always dragging her away from pools of mud where she loved to make mud plates. Feeling a need for a more formalized education, she took classes in ceramics while pursuing her finance degree. Then, as she began her career in finance, she continued to expand her knowledge and practice of ceramics and now focuses all of her energy on her art. She continues to explore a wide range of techniques from slab to handbuilding to throwing and experiments with various firing mediums. “My work creates a coming together of nature from the earth, kneaded into form, glazed in the earth’s minerals and born from fire to be nature reformed.”
