Photography was always an active avocation for Al Brown, who holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, during his years as a research chemist. Since retiring to Sedona, he has done two major photographic projects for the Forest Service, has several photographs in the 2007 book, The Sedona Gardens of St. John Vianney, with one of those subsequently published as the cover for Sedona Home & Garden magazine. His photos are also in the 2008 calendar, The Sedona Seasons.
