The Sedona Arts Center completes its 50th year and beginning a new decade of stability and growth. This has been a year of challenges and accomplishments.

- We've updated our Bylaws and Governance Policies incorporating new 990 regulations.
- We've enjoyed a successful Plein Air Festival beyond our expectations and are poised to launch our 5th Annual Plein Air Festival with our presenting sponsor L'Auberge de Sedona.
- We've achieved the backbone of a 5 Year Strategic Plan and updated our Vision and Mission Statement.
- We have opened dialogue with several foundations for future fund development and have begun the steps toward launching our Capital Campaign.
- Now in the development stages is our new signature event - Sedona Photofest 2010 - Landscape Photography Symposium, Competition and Exhibition which will host some of the "Best and Brightest" photographers in the country lead by our "Master in Residence" photographer and Pulitzer prize winner, Jack Dykinga.
- We are moving forward on developing a Board of Trustees to help our Planned Giving and broaden community support.
- In response to our membership we have created a Volunteer Coordinator position now held by Joanie Wolter who has been able to develop a system of volunteer registration. Our new ActiveNet system of online registration will also allow us to track volunteer participation and initiate and recognition program for our volunteers.
- We revamped our budget mid-year to reflect the current economy and succeeded in bolstering revenues with a year-end campaign and additional program offerings.
- We have invigorated the Sedona Arts Center with an hardworking Board that has laid the foundation for Robert J. Myers, Executive Director and planted the seeds for the next ten years of growth. The Board that has been very responsive to the Arts Center's and member needs and possesses the team spirit necessary moving forward.
