Scholarship Awards Information

 

The Scholarship Award consists of:

 

• Year-round classes & Art Experiences – Up to three scholarships of $150 each which can be used for any three Year-round classes and/or Art Experiences of the recipient’s choice. 

 

• Workshops - $450 which can be used in whole or in part for 50% of the tuition cost for one or more Workshops of his/her choice, not to exceed a total of $450 for the scholarship year.  Example:  if the full tuition is $600, the scholarship will pay $300 leaving $150 that may be used towards another workshop; or if the workshop is $900, the $450 can be used in full for the one workshop.    

 

These awards must be used within the scholarship year which commences on the date the application is approved and the student is notified.  Separate applications are not required for each use – only one application form per scholarship year is necessary.

Complete the form below by either printing it or copying and pasting it into a Word document, then mail it back to Sedona Arts Center, Attn. Scholarships, PO Box 569, Sedona, AZ  86339, or email it back to debbie@sedonaartscenter.com, or fax it to 928-282-1516.

 

We will contact you after we receive your application by phone or email to let you know whether or not you have been accepted, and begin the registration process for the first class or workshop you would like to take.  Our normal class cancellation policies apply, so be sure you are familiar with it when registering.  If the Sedona Arts Center has to cancel a class or workshop due to low enrollment or for some other reason, the student will retain the scholarship and can use it for another class or workshop.

 

Scholarship Guidelines:

 

1.      Scholarships cover tuition only. 

2.      Scholarships are not transferable. 

3.      The Sedona Arts Center awards scholarships to students only when funds are available.

4.      Awards are based upon a combination of need and artistic goals.

5.      Decisions regarding awards will be made by the staff of the School at the Sedona Arts Center on an ongoing basis, and students will be notified as soon as possible after the completed application has been received.

6.      Scholarships may not be used for international or certain select Field Expeditions. Scholarships may possibly be available for local Field Expeditions.

7.      There is no cash value to any scholarship award; no money will be paid to the student if the scholarships are not used by the end of the student’s scholarship year.  Scholarships do not carry over to the following scholarship year.

8.      Since students typically have to pay part of the tuition, any amount that is due must be paid in full by the normal payment due date for the class or workshop. Automatic-charge payment plans to a credit card can be easily set up.
